The Seiko caliber V192 with stopwatch, 24-hour hand and energy reserve indicator is a Solar watch. Seiko Solar uses an ultra-efficient solar cell that is able to create energy from all types of light, not just sunlight. This energy is stored in a very small rechargeable battery that lasts many times longer than conventional batteries. The timepiece is protected against overcharging. This makes the watch virtually maintenance-free. When fully charged, caliber V192 has a power reserve of 6 months. If there is a threat of energy shortage, the watch gives a warning by moving the second hand in steps of 2 seconds instead of per 1 second. The watch has a handy energy reserve indicator. The energy reserve indicator shows the amount of energy in the energy reserve indicator. The stopwatch measures up to 60 minutes in 1/5 second increments.
